Equipment Fabrication Welder

We are seeking a skilled large equipment welder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience welding and fabricating large metal components, ensuring structural integrity and quality. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and adherence to safety protocols in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform welding operations on large equipment components using MIG, TIG, and stick welding techniques.

• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols to determine project specifications.

• Set up welding machines and select appropriate materials and techniques for each job.

• Inspect welded surfaces and structures to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.

• Operate and maintain welding tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.

• Grind, cut, and shape metal components as needed to ensure proper fit and finish.

• Work collaboratively with engineers, supervisors, and other team members to meet production goals.

• Follow all safety procedures and regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Other – Assists in other areas as needed.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

KNOWLEDGE OF:

Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and stick welding techniques. Knowledge of basic math and computer skills. Strong knowledge of welding safety protocols and procedures.

SKILL IN:

Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and electrical testing equipment. Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical problems. Strong organizational and time management skills. Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and stick welding techniques.

ABILITY TO:

Think independently, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications. Familiarity with safety procedures and guidelines. Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Familiarity with safety procedures and guidelines. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

MINIMUM ACCEPTABLE TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

Minimum of 1-2 years of welding experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.

EDUCATION

High school diploma or equivalent; welding certification or technical training preferred.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE

Construction, Manufacturing, and or Warehouse

PHYSICAL AND MEDICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to physically perform the duties and to work in the environmental conditions required of a position. Lift 50lbs, work in warehouse environment subject to above and below average temperatures. Ability to stand for long periods of time.
